Yes, we are structured as a technology investment. But what that really means is this. We are a team of people who believe in building businesses the right way. Businesses that treat their clients as partners, their employees as their greatest asset, and their community as something worth investing in.
Our story
IKIO was created to do something straightforward but important. We wanted to bring together strong technology businesses under one roof and help them grow in a way that is sustainable, ethical, and built to last.
Today, IKIO is the parent company of two well-established US businesses, Concept Software and Services Inc. and Open Systems Inc. Together, these companies have served hundreds of clients, placed thousands of professionals in meaningful roles, and built a reputation for reliability across the US technology and engineering sectors.

Over the past three decades, he has founded and grown multiple technology and manufacturing companies across the United States, Singapore, and India. His journey includes establishing MicroEdge India, Microlink Singapore, IKIO Solutions in Lexington Kentucky, and Castlegate Industries India. These are businesses that span continents and industries but share a common thread. They were built with purpose, managed with discipline, and led with integrity.
At IKIO, Mahendran channels three decades of entrepreneurial experience into a technology investment structure designed to support and grow the businesses under its umbrella. He is deeply involved in the strategic direction of both Concept Software and Services Inc. and Open Systems Inc., and brings a hands-on leadership style that prioritizes people, performance, and long-term value.
